Trained People are Employed
We are pleased to announce that we have trained almost 30 villagers and local people who live near the wetland of Yangtze River to help conserve the wetland. The training period has lasted for several months and classes were held twice a week.
In the past several months, we have impacted lots of knowledge of wetlands conservation to these villagers. A series of training sessions were organized to equip people with adequate knowledge and skills to meet service requirements and quality. The training sessions included basic knowledge on wetlands, guided interpretation in wetland reserve, exhibition galleries, and interpretation skills. We have trained them with the identification skills on birds, dragonflies, butterflies, amphibians and reptiles, as well as mammals. Moreover, we have provided
opportunities for them to do some practice and quizzes in order to consolidate their knowledge. Most of the trainees enjoyed the learning process very much and they have completed the scheme successfully.
From “students” to professionals, these villagers and local people are warm and sincere. They always learned modestly during every lecture. And now, 20 of them have been selected to be employed as our bird-watching tour guides and the helpers of conducting propaganda and the upcoming activities. We are looking forward to seeing you to join our meaningful activities and communicate with these trained villagers. Be sure to contact us for further details by email [email protected] or fax 34421234.
